Apple's big event on as eroticism revels in theThursday was rumored to be mainly focused on Macs, but the Apple TV got a little love, too.
Apple announced a new app for its media streaming box called "TV" designed to make it easier for users to find and watch content without the need to manually dig into different apps. It's basically a TV guide.
SEE ALSO: Return of the Mac: Follow Apple's event liveThe app will essentially provide shortcuts to TV shows and movies to other content apps in one centralized app hub.
"We want Apple TV to be the one place to access all of your television," Apple Tim Cook said. "A unified TV experience that's one place to discover great new content to watch."
Apple says the recommendations are based on a person's existing viewing preferences.
The app, which looks a little like the redesigned Apple Music app in iOS 10, has a new section called "Watch Now", which is where you'll see recommendations:
The TV app is also available for iPhone and iPad.
The TV app will be available in a free software update starting in December.
