Tesla is sex training videosabout to launch its first truck in October, and now, courtesy of an anonymous Reddit user, we may have gotten an early glimpse of its design.
The photo on Reddit (first spotted by Electrek) was provided with little explanation (and later removed), but it's still available on the site.
SEE ALSO: Elon Musk says the Tesla truck is coming on Oct. 26, and it will be 'unreal'The photo was purportedly taken at a California location where Tesla vehicles are tested. It shows a modern looking truck which is quite similar to the teaser image Tesla had released in April. The truck doesn't appear to bear a Tesla logo, but the headlights and the profile look on point.

There's one detail that's noticeably different, though: The truck in Tesla's teaser image appears to be a lot taller than the truck in the photo. But Reddit users quickly noticed that a silver part seen on the left of the image could be the truck's fairing. One user even photoshopped the truck with the fairing on top, and the result (below) looks uncannily similar to Tesla's teaser image.
This is not the first time someone claimed they saw a Tesla truck prototype in the wild, but it's definitely the most convincing photo so far.
Few details are known about the electric truck -- Musk himself called it "next level" and "unreal" -- and one analyst said it would probably have a range of 200-300 miles per charge and a price tag of around $100,000. A Reuters report this August said the truck would probably be autonomous, with the ability to move in platoons.
The Tesla Semi Truck is scheduled to be unveiled on Oct. 26 in Hawthorne, California.
