On Tuesday,Travel Agency (2025) EP 2 Hindi Web Series the Internet Society of China issued draft regulations entitled Requirements for Managing Minor Online Game Service Consumption for public consultation. In China, minors are entitled to game refunds if game operators fail to provide adequate protection, as mandated by laws regarding the online protection of those under the age of 16. The draft represents the first comprehensive consumption management standard in the gaming industry, which is intended to be used to resolve disputes over refunds involving minors and gaming companies. The standards make it clear that gaming companies do not bear sole responsibility: if providers implement anti-addiction measures but a child’s guardian helps them bypass these barriers, the refund may range from 30% to 70% rather than the full 100% as previously mandated. Repeated misconduct can result in full liability for the responsible party, the draft rules say. [Internet Society of China, in Chinese]
