Make Apple American Again.
Donald Trump told the Wall Street Journalin an interview on fantastic eroticism tropesTuesday that Apple CEO Tim Cook committed to building three new manufacturing plants in the U.S.
"I spoke to [Mr. Cook], he’s promised me three big plants—big, big, big," Trump said to the Journal.
The future of Apple manufacturing has become a hot topic under Trump, who has vowed to return lost jobs to U.S. workers.
Key among Trump's plans is Apple, which does the bulk of its manufacturing outside of the U.S.
Trump started pushing for Apple to bring that manufacturing back stateside just days after the presidential election.
Trump is also a longtime Apple fan who has also taken credit for the company's inclusion of larger screens on iPhones, though he tends to favor Android phones.
Apple declined to comment.

Apple's flagship iPhones are a mishmash of components and labor from around the world. Assembly of iPhones primarily happens in China.
Apple has made no formal announcements of new U.S. plants, though Foxcon—one of Apple's major suppliers—was reportedly mulling building a new facility in the U.S. to produce flat-panel displays for the iPhone.
Trump has not shied away from calling out individual companies over their outsourcing, some of which have tried to save face and claim to be bringing jobs back to the U.S. Other companies, like Carrier, which make air conditioners, have tried to gain favor by proclaiming that they would keep jobs in the U.S. The company ended up laying off the workers it claimed to save.
If Apple were to build three new plants in the U.S., the company would conceivably be on the hook for tens of billions of dollars of investment. Big, big, big, indeed.
