After the last posthumous Jeopardy!appearance of Cindy Stowell021 Archives who died on Dec. 5th of colon cancer, host Alex Trebek recorded a short video to pay tribute to her time on the show.
Wednesday marked the last of Stowell's six-episode run on the game show, which she taped in the summer knowing she had only six months to live.

In the video she reveals that she is dying of cancer and wanted to donate her winnings to cancer research (specifically, to the Cancer Research Institute, which is also receiving donations in Cindy's name).

"For the past six Jeopardy! programs you folks have been getting to know the talented champion Cindy Stowell," Trebek said. "Appearing on our show was the fulfillment of a lifelong ambition."
