Born to Hollywood stars,Watch Carnal Cravings (2006) Carrie Fisher lived her life in lights from the beginning.
The beloved actress died Tuesday at age 60 in Los Angeles after suffering from a heart attack.
The child of singer Eddie Fisher and actress Debbie Reynolds, Fisher made herself a household name starring as Princess Leia in the Star Wars series, as well as other classic films including Shampooand Hannah and Her Sisters.
Fisher's personal life was tumultuous. She was open about her struggles with bipolar disorder and drug addiction, reflecting these experiences in novels such as Postcards from the Edge.
"Hilariously – after all the drug addiction and celebration marriage and mental illness and divorce and shock treatment and heartbreak and motherhood and childhood and neighborhood and hood in general – I’ve turned out to be ... a kind of happy person (go figure!)," she wrote in the Guardianin June.
She always maintained a sense of wit and an intense joy in life, all of which came through in pictures from her life and career.
