Apple just announced the M4 chip, and we’re already getting a discount on a MacBook that has it baked in. This version comes with 16GB of memory and 256GB of SSD storage—aka the sweet spot for anyone who wants a laptop that won’t flinch when you open five apps and 28 tabs at once. What really gets me is that the M4 chip is supposed to make this laptop even more efficient, with up to 18 hours of battery life and full support for Apple’s new Intelligence features. I can barely make it through a day with my current setup without needing a charger and a nap.

This is a brand-new laptop. It should be sold out. It should definitely not be on sale. And yet, here it is. Sitting in my cart. Waiting for me to make one slightly irresponsible (but entirely justified) purchase.
