Nothing like some harsh,Watch Swap (2024) full movie unsolicited criticism about how you're raising your children.
California parents Kelly and Mike Brüning have lived in the same small, beachside apartment for nine years. Their two kids, ages two and four, frequently play on the beach -- which Kelly calls the "infinite backyard."
But one human does not agree with the Brünings' living situation. So, naturally, they wrote an anonymous note, slapped on a Santa Claus stamp and mailed it to the Brünings with no return address.
"It's important that you know that you guys are about the most selfish parents around," the anonymous critic wrote. "Because you like the beach, your boys are trapped in a tiny, one bedroom upstairs apartment."
The Brünings aren't sure who wrote the letter, but it left them shaken nonetheless. "Sometimes harassment comes in simple forms," they wrote on Facebook.
Luckily, other members of the community are defending the family on social media, essentially telling the anonymous critic to buzz off and mind their own business.
"It was me," one user joked. "I just want you to move out because I'm on the waiting list and I want to move in with my two boys."
"Kids grow up in big cities, in small apartments, in poor or rich countries and they turn out just fine," another person wrote. "Having the beach [as] your playground is luck. I wish I grew up in a small place by the beach just like that."
And that's the thing -- when it comes to nosy critics, living well by the beach is the best revenge.
