DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television -- the producers behind small-screen superhero favorites like The CW's Flash, Arrowand Supergirl-- are launching their own digital streaming service in 2018, designed to be a shot of pure DC Comics goodness that will be delivered direct to fans.
The long-gestating Teen Titans series, Titans, which was originally in development at TNT, will be the flagship live-action series for the new streaming network, while the third season of fan-favorite animated series Young Justice will also debut on the service in 2018.
Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, the executive producers behind The CW's live-action superhero slate, will exec produce Titans, along with DC Entertainment's President and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns and writer-director Akiva Goldsman.
Titansfollows a group of young, soon-to-be super heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Goldsman, Johns and Berlanti will write the series. (Dick Grayson -- aka the original Robin -- will also headline a planned Nightwingmovie as part of DC and WB's film universe, which is separate from their TV properties.)
In Young Justice: Outsiders, the teenage super heroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of super-powers, super-villains and super secrets. In the new season, the team takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.

Since The Flash, Arrowand Berlanti's other superhero shows are part of The CW's newly-renegotiated deal with Netflix, don't expect to see them on the streaming service any time soon -- but the DC universe has no shortage of characters that might be ripe for adaptation if the digital network proves popular enough.
