After video surfaced Friday of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump saying he would "grab [women] by the pussy" among other obscene,House of Pleasures (House of Tolerance) sexist comments, many Republican politicians condemned the candidate's actions.
The video, obtained by the Washington Post, showed Trump and and Todayshow co-host Billy Bush (at the time with Access Hollywood) in 2005 talking about women in extremely graphic terms.
"I did try and f*ck her, she was married...I moved on her heavily...I moved on her like a bitch," Trump says at one point.
"And when you're a star they let you do it," Trump says of his attempts. "You can do anything."

Some of the Republican responses, however, fell into the cliché of speaking on behalf of "wives and daughters" rather than, well, any woman. Many on Twitter noticed the irony:

Trump released his own apology video, which he ended with "See you at the debate on Sunday."
