A quick glance over at Downdetector shows that a lot of problem are having issues with Slack this morning (Disclosure: Ziff Davis owns both Mashable and Downdetector.) Slack's own official Status page shows that some users have trouble loading Slack, and that messages aren't working all that well.

"Some users may be experiencing issues loading content in Slack, particularly threads and the Activity view," the company wrote in an incident report. "We’re still actively investigating this issue, but we don’t have any new information to share at this time. Thanks for sticking with us as we continue to work towards a fix."
