Apple's App Store has offered nearly every mobile software tool you can USAthink of, except, oddly, for an official Apple Support app. That is, until now.
Apple's new Support app quietly made its debut on Tuesday in the App Store, in the Utilities category.
SEE ALSO: Apple just blocked a controversial crime reporting appAlthough the app is presented in English, as of this writing it's only available on the Netherlands Apple App Store and doesn't show up in searches in the U.S. store.
Accompanying the app is the following description:
Need help? Apple Support app is your personalized guide to the best options from Apple. Find answers with articles tailored to your products and questions. Call, chat or email with an expert right away, or schedule a callback when it’s convenient. Get a repair at an Apple Store or a nearby Apple Authorized Service Provider. Apple Support is here to help.
Among the features listed in the app is an option to look up Apple support documents based on the Apple devices you own, as well as what looks like the ability to set a Genius Bar appointment at a brick and mortar Apple Store.
The app also appears to offer the option to start a chat with a support staffer or have Apple call you back regarding a support issue.
The appearance of the new app was surfaced by Product Hunt. However, Apple did not immediately respond to a request from Mashableregarding when the app will come to the U.S. version of the App Store.
