Resident Advisors or Watch How Young Sisters Share a Man OnlineRAs are in many ways responsible for helping to shape the college experience of students who live on campus, and in some cases fulfilling dreams.
Typically, RAs wear many hats: arbiter in roommate disputes, provider of free food and buster of parties, to just name a few.
However, one very patiently kind RA at the University of Tennessee recently took on another addition to his job: reader of bedtime stories.

Andrew is a freshman at the University of Tennessee. He explained that his RA, who goes by Q, gave every resident a survey to fill out at the beginning of the school year asking what he could do to make their year better.
"Back in August, with all the craziness of starting my freshman year," Andrew told us, "a bedtime story was a really comforting thought to me."
So Andrew wrote it down on the survey.
"I was about 80 percent sure he'd do it," Andrew said. "Q and I clicked pretty fast and I knew he was outgoing enough to make some dreams come true."
Sure enough, Q delivered, reading Leo the Late Bloomerto Andrew on his birthday. Apparently, not only did Q read the story, but he also had really good read-aloud technique.
"Q was really good at reading upside down so I could see all the pictures," Andrew said. "Also Q put on his pajamas just for the occasion."
Of the experience as a whole, Andrew explained, "There's some things you just don't grow out of. Stories are awesome no matter how old you are."
Andrew also only had glowing things to say about Q, which may seem obvious because the man was willing to read a bedtime story to a college student, for goodness sakes.
"Q is everything you could want in an RA and an awesome guy all around. Super thankful for his friendship, especially as a freshman!"
You da real, MVP, Q. Way to help young minds navigate the crazy world that is college.
