As of March 14, the Acer Chromebook 516 GE — packed with an Intel Core i5-1240P processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage — is on sale for only $469 at Best Buy. That's a significant $180 price drop and the biggest savings we've seen to date.
It's important to note that this isn't your traditional gaming laptop; it's a cloud gaming laptop. That means you'll be streaming games (similar to streaming shows a la Netflix) instead of downloading them or owning a physical copy. You won't have to deal with constant upgrades for new games or buying fancy new hardware, but you may endure some fidelity loss. You'll need a really reliable and strong internet connection in order to stream games swimmingly.
