You see, any true fan who specializes in the ins and outs of Dunder Mifflin would realize that the tweet is an iconic rendition of a classic Michael Scott moment.
In season five, when Michael set out to start his own paper company he wrote an "original" quote on the white board in his new office to motivate himself. This quote read: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" and was attributed in massive letters to one Michael Scott, and in verrrrrrrytiny print, to Wayne Gretzky -- the famous hockey player who actually said it.
Netflix eagerly jumped onboard the goofy, inaccurate whiteboard quote bandwagon, changing the writing to read, "The Office is not coming off Netflix."
Brilliant, right?
And in case you think things couldn't get any more perfect, the photograph was captioned with another extremely appropriate quote from the charming Scranton boss.
This tweet deserves a Dundie for sure.
UPDATE: June 30, 2017, 8:54 a.m. UTC Netflix recently issued another reminder for those of you who still don't believe The Office is not leaving.
