Douyin Group,Secret Confessions (2025) Week 8 Highlights Episode 46 TikTok’s China sibling, has said it fired 88 workers in the first half of this year for violating anti-fraud rules, and that another 17 employees were reported to the judicial authorities for suspected criminal offenses. Most of the sacked employees belonged to the short video platform’s e-commerce and local life service units, according to a post on Douyin’s official WeChat account. Such anti-fraud movements are common in China’s tech sector, with the firms regularly reporting the results to the public. Tencent dismissed more than 120 staff for bribery and corruption last year. Douyin said it always maintained a “zero-tolerance” attitude toward fraudulent actions, and would never hire employees involved in such cases. [Douyin Group, in Chinese]
